Privacy Policy

Privacy matters because children and families are not data points.

KinderNest.kids respects the privacy of childcare providers, parents, guardians, children, employees, and authorized pickup and drop-off contacts. This policy explains what information may be collected, why it is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

KinderNest.kids is designed for use by childcare providers and authorized adults. Children do not create accounts or directly use the system.

Child information

KinderNest.kids may store information about children because childcare providers need accurate records to operate their childcare businesses. Children are not intended to directly use KinderNest.kids, create accounts, post content, or submit information themselves.

Child information is entered and managed by authorized childcare providers and, where applicable, authorized parent or guardian users.

Sharing of information

KinderNest.kids does not sell personal information.

Information may be shared only when needed to provide the service, work with trusted service providers, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect children, users, the system, or the public from harm.

Advertisers are not allowed to access child records, provider records, parent records, or guardian records.

Provider control

Childcare providers control the records they create in KinderNest.kids, subject to applicable law, licensing requirements, system security requirements, and retention rules. Only the provider who owns or created a child's record should be able to modify that child's information through the application.

Parent and guardian access

Parents and guardians may be given access to information related to their own child or children. A parent or guardian should not be able to view another family's private information. Authorized pickup and drop-off contacts are separate from parent and guardian users. Being approved for pickup or drop-off does not automatically grant access to private child records.

Data retention

KinderNest.kids may retain records for operational, audit, legal, security, and licensing-related purposes. Records may be soft-deleted or hidden from normal views while still being retained for audit and compliance purposes.

Data security

KinderNest.kids uses technical and administrative safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. These safeguards may include encrypted connections, access controls, audit logging, role-based permissions, secure authentication, monitoring, backups, and limited administrative access.

No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their login credentials and report suspected misuse promptly.

Privacy requests

Depending on where you live and what laws apply, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request information about certain personal data. Requests can be sent to Wayne Pfeffer at wayne.pfeffer@kindernest.kids.

Changes to this policy

KinderNest.kids may update this Privacy Policy as the product develops, as laws change, or as new features are added. When material changes are made, the Last updated date will be revised and users may be notified through the application or by email.
